Advisory Board Member
Susan Hensel is Director of Licensing for the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. She oversees licensing of the state’s casinos and other gaming and sports wagering related companies as well as the employees working in and supporting the gaming and sports wagering industries. Ms. Hensel is Past President of the International Association of Gaming Regulators having served two terms and is on the Board of Trustees. She previously served as Vice-President and Secretary of the association. Ms. Hensel is a frequent speaker on gaming issues and has authored articles on topics including the need for regulator and industry collaboration; best practices for Internet gaming; and leadership. Ms. Hensel is an Adjunct Professor on Gaming Law at Widener University Commonwealth Law School. She is a member of the International Masters of Gaming Law and International Association of Gaming Advisors. Ms. Hensel previously served in executive level positions with Pennsylvania state government, including Assistant General Counsel in the Governor's Office of General Counsel. Ms. Hensel is a former television news reporter. She earned her J.D. degree from Widener University Law School in Harrisburg and a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
